The first revelation of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was about education. The initial five verses of Al-Alaq refer to the importance of education.

“Recite in the name of your Lord who created, created the man from a clot of blood. Recite and your Lord is most generous. Who taught by the pen, taught man that which he knew not.”
